As my first year teaching, and getting hired in the middle of the school year, it is crucial to have at least the basic classroom supplies in my classroom, so that my students do not need to worry about coming to school without supplies. Please help my students become more academically prepared and successful in middle school, and meet their individualized educational goals by having the basic classroom supplies. The papers, pens and pencils will allow my students to write essays in Language in Arts, collect data in Science, and even do calculations in Math. The erasers will help them edit their thinking. The colored pencils and glue sticks will make for activities in all classes. Lastly, the pocket folders will allow students to have different place for worksheets from each of their classes, and build the skill of organization that is important not just in school, but also in their everyday lives. I'm hoping that all I would have to worry about is building a strong curriculum and classroom management to support our individual student needs.
