The students at our High School have struggled even before becoming adults. They are at a continuation high school because they could not succeed in the typical school setting. These students are at-risk teens, meaning they have taken some missteps and need extra guidance to get back on track. My students not only struggle with the burdens of a normal teenager, like learning how to study correctly, or bullying, they also face adult challenges like trying to find their next meal and taking care of their own babies. Most of my students just need someone to show that they care in order to motivate them to succeed.

About my class
