This library will help students develop their vocabulary, comprehension skills, and reading ability. The cozy reading area will provide students with books that will help them learn about different cultures and perspectives while creating a love for reading. This area will be used each day during whole group, small group, and one-on-one instruction. By third grade, students need to be able to read well if they are to stay on grade level later in their education; this library will ensure they have time to practice their literacy skills. These students will be able to access the library throughout the day. I will also use the books to create more engaging lessons in math, science, and social skills.
