We are 103 hardworking 6th grade 21st century learners. In our classroom, we learn science by incorporating hands-on, authentic learning experiences. We have an emphasis on deeper learning through project and problem based learning. We embrace the 4 C's of 21st century learners: Communication, Collaboration, Critical Thinking, and Creativity. We incorporate technology into our learning as much as possible, and have a huge goal of being able to implement it daily! We are part of a rural North Carolina, Title 1, middle school. 100% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. Many students in our class have never been outside of their community, and therefore lack many world and environmental experiences.
