During each of my math classes, I follow a 20-25 two lesson format. I typically use an online or SmartBoard timer, but it is not visible when I am using a PowerPoint presentation for the lesson. My school also follows Kagan Classroom Structures, so the Kagan Mega Timer would be perfect for my classroom.
It will provide the students with the ability to see the time as they are progressing through the lesson, it will help them self-pace as they complete their work, and it will also help me ensure that time is being managed without each class period.
Because our lessons are broken down into two different lessons, providing the opportunity for my students to have a brain break with the Silly Sports & Goofy Games book will help them transition from each part of the lesson. These sports and short games will allow them to release some of their "jittery energy" in a silly and fun way.
Lastly, because I rely on a PowerPoint presentation during my whole group lessons, a wireless pointer will help me move around the classroom and freely change the slide or use the pointer to really draw attention to parts within the lesson.
All these tools will help my students to learn time management and will engage and amplify the way my students will learn. They will create an opportunity for automatic success so that my students can build confidence and learn to build independence in our classroom as well as their other classrooms.
With your donation, this will show my students that more people than just their teachers and families are supporting them. Thank you beforehand for your donation on behalf of all of my students!
