Thank you for choosing to support our classroom! First grade is crucial to developing a student's confidence and accuracy in their reading. They work on skills that will help them become strong and successful readers no matter where they go! Your contribution has already made a significant impact in shaping our readers as they become the future of tomorrow!
We will be using the books you donate to our classroom to learn important reading skills like identifying characters, setting, problem/solution, and so many more! But most importantly, the books you provide will help to make reading fun! When students get their hands on books, characters, and stories they enjoy it is hard to keep them from reading! Each morning we read a story aloud together and they are able to see how and what a good reader does. They are then able to practice in small groups, with partners, and on their own. A crucial part of this is that students have access to books that are "just right" for them and that is where you come in!
Thank you so so much for your generosity and for choosing our class to support!
