I am a middle school math teacher and teach approximately 150 students in an impoverished area. Many of my students are from non-English or limited English-speaking homes, and rely on school for breakfast and lunch as well as technology needs. Despite the hardships the students face, they are caring and empathetic! During the school year we help to raise money for various philanthropies in my classroom as I want the students to learn to help others as it teaches them that what goes around comes around. As one student said to me, "It feels great to donate!" Just like Donors Choose, it is all good karma!
