My students are enthusiastic about learning and love school, however a lack of social emotional learning can severely impede a kiddo's ability to learn. Working at a title 1 school comes with it's challenges, and a huge need for our community at BJE is curriculum that explicitly teaches the students emotional regulation and how to identify their feelings. If all students are able to identify, control, and problem solve their emotions, they will grow into well-rounded adults who can manage relationships....not to mention more learning can happen in classrooms!
