The students are learning how to use design thinking to build video games. The students will be going through several challenges using the Bloxels boards to create characters, design worlds, and plan out a video game. They are designing their projects, coming up with the checklist of the items to do, and are going present their games at one of our upcoming school governance board meetings. The students are learning the art of cooperation and video game design with this STEAM project. With Bloxels, they will learn the basic ideas of coding and creating. They will build the different elements of their game, such as characters, backgrounds, and worlds. The Kindle Fires will help them build their games in the Bloxels app. They need a rear-facing camera on the tablets they use, because they need to take images of the Bloxel board. The students will be able to work collaboratively, working with others to help create and edit their video games.
