As a elementary school counselor I plan on using some of these books for social emotional lessons in classrooms. I love that these books center a dragon, our school mascot, and address many important topics that our kids are currently going through. Our school is all virtual right now but I am doing live lessons with the kids where I plan to read them these stories and have a discussion on the topics. The books where I might not read to the entire class, like the books on two homes and divorce, I will use during a one on one counseling appointment or small group. Students will learn different topics from these books that will help them navigate their emotions and working with others.
