I have requested a variety of materials to be used by all levels of students throughout the year on different projects. The tempera paints and tempera cakes will be used with the white paper for projects such as self portraits, name designs, comic book hero lesson, and so on. The black construction paper will be used for drawing with oil pastels and chalk, and to mount artwork to display around the school. Crayons and glue are an art room staple that will be used for many projects and techniques from water resist to crayon batik. Lastly, the India Ink will be used for pen and ink drawings, washes, and multi-cultural art lessons. It is important for students to have quality art supplies to create meaningful and authentic works of art as it will build confidence and ownership. Your support in giving to my project will provide students the tools necessary for self expression and creative exploration.
