This project would significantly help my students stay engaged in learning throughout the day. I encourage learning independence, self confidence and awareness through student choice. Flexible seating allows the need for movement to be met with these different seating tools. Research shows that students are able to focus and do their best work when they are comfortable. Sadly, inner city schools do not have the resources that many other of our neighboring districts do. Many of the materials listed are materials that they students use regularly. "Let us remember: One book, one pen, one child, and one teacher can change the world." Thank you for supporting my 2nd grade classroom!
