I have the best students in my class(every year)! My students come from varying backgrounds, experiences, and knowledge levels. They represent different cultural backgrounds and different socio-economic statuses. For many of my students school is their safe place-where they get to eat, learn, and have fun, where no one will hurt them and a place where they thrive. As a teacher, I love to facilitate hands on learning experiences in a nurturing classroom. I love seeing their expressions when they get to do experiments, like creating a volcano from paper mache, and then getting to make their volcanoes erupt. I do my best to make our classroom our home away from home. I want my students to love learning, and I know that starts with them feeling comfortable in their environment and secure in their relationship with me.
