As we celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month, Sept 14-October 31, middle school students and staff will enjoy small virtual book clubs where they read, discuss, and create group projects based on I Am Not Your Perfect Mexican Daughter. With intentional placement of youth into diverse groups of four, students will choose a small project to create and share with others. After the final chapter is read, discussed, and project completed, each group will choose their favorite project to share with their peers, families, neighbors, and long distanced loved ones during our culminating “Hispanic Heritage Celebration”.
