The materials requested will differentiate instruction and encourage students to read, read, read! By creating exciting environments for students to read in, student engagement will likely increase helping America read again. I would love to provide child size rocking chairs, spaces for students with special needs to sit comfortably and read. By having various colored drawers, I can assign my students a drawer for their work based on their skill level. Other materials, such as "witch fingers" will help create an exciting and engaging guided reading time. Without the ability to read, my students will have a tough time succeeding.
