Students need to be able to hear great examples of fluent, expressive reading. What better way than to listen to books on CD? My students are loving the "Listen to Reading" choice within Daily 5. This is the choice that they most likely pick when I give them "Daily 5 Choice" and I would love for as many of them to be able to choose it as possible. It is amazing how fully engaged in the reading experience they become when they can see it, hear it and follow along! A collection of portable CD players and headphones in class will encourage my students in developing their love for reading.
