Allowing the students the ability to choose the different seating, from sitting on the floor to standing up even the style of seating (picnic table, bar stools) will benefit them by being more focused and increase their academics is enlightening to see. Not only will this help my regular ed students but it will also benefit my students with disabilities by allowing them the movement needed to be more alert and productive. This can occur by having these tall desk with height adjustment and pillows as well as desk that can be portable through out the classroom. Students will not be in the traditional learning environment but a more realistic one. Even though some students might enjoy the different seating others that prefer the traditional seating will be given that opportunity to problem solve math problems and cooperative learning. In addition, this will assist some "boy" students in my class due to research states they learn better in different seating such as standing. Students will have the ability to rotate to different seating and practice the math skills learned on real life situation.
