Our student population is challenged by generational and situational poverty. This results in absentee and/or uninvolved parents, little ability to focus and follow through, negative social behaviors, and an acute lack of personal responsibility. Ours is a Pre-K -5 neighborhood school with 74% of its total population on the free and reduced meal program. Students are a mix of socio-economic background, genders, race, and academic abilities.
