My students love to use sensory stimulating kinetic sand and play dough during learning lab time and throughout the day when they need a break. Currently we only have one container of sand and a limited supply of play dough. These products will help my students develop and improve their fine motor skills by encouraging them to pinch, mold, twist, flatten, and roll the sand and/or play dough. Kinetic sand and play dough will also develop their hand-eye coordination and stimulate their imagination and creativity. Kinetic sand and play dough also promotes play and social interaction which is essential to my students. Finally, kinetic sand and play dough are therapeutic and calming. Some of my students have suffered through traumatic events and are living stressful lives. This items will help soothe them, ease stress and improve their concentration.
