These magazines will be used in guided reading ability groups. I integrate our Social Studies and Science curriculum into our ELA work, and finding differentiated materials that is age appropriate is extremely time consuming. Using 3rd/4th/5th grade levels gives those students who need a challenge the chance to read text at their level. My students will be able to experience a world bigger than their own and learn more about the world around them through the love of reading. Students will also know that through the kindness of others we have been given these materials, and what better way to teach children the concept of paying it forward when you can.
