I teach at a working middle class elementary school. This is my 15th year teaching. This will be my first year teaching 3rd and 4th grade writing. I feel like I am more than just a teacher at the school, to some of my kids my classroom is joy. I am actively involved in my school community. I have a close connection with my parents. I know how hard they work with their children and support our classroom as much as they can. The resources needed to engage the students is more than their budget allows. I have a highly energetic classroom with students who need movement throughout the day.
