From engaging read-alouds of children's literature on the carpet to working collaboratively coding, I want every student who enters my classroom to have a chance to work with their classmates in a collaborative environment. I want to be able to gather them to the carpet to read and discuss texts, yes, even upper grade students still like to sit on the carpet. Read aloud is still one of their favorite parts of the day! A large classroom rug seating area also allows an extra spot for students to spread out and collaborate. Participating as a donor to this project will help to create a welcoming environment for students to enjoy good literature and collaborate on their work. I am eager to provide my students with these opportunities.
