I teach English 10 and 11 at Chandler High School in Chandler, Arizona. My passions are young adult literature, rhetoric and writing, as well as inspiring students to become lifelong readers. Despite the challenges my students face, I am resolute in giving them the a world class education. I am also a 2021 Tillman Scholar, United States Marine Corps veteran, a graduate student at Arizona State University (PhD in English), a Teach for America 2016 Hawaii Corps Member, and alumnus of the College of William and Mary (MA in Education) and Arizona State University (MA in English). Most importantly, I am a father myself and I believe education is a human right, not a privilege for the fortunate. I want all children to have access to an education that allows them to develop their interests and challenges them to contribute to society.
