Chromebook technology will allow me to implement the math curriculum our school has purchased this year. The Go Math! program utilizes many interactive aspects to supplement, remediate, and also enrich lessons. The program will allow me to differentiate almost immediately to reach to maximum possible students.
Students need to have access to technology to be successful in today's world. In many cases, the only access some of my students have is in my classroom. In order for my students to be successful, it is crucial that I am able to provide the resources within my classroom. Many of my students have smart phones readily available, and the applications they make use of have already made them "tech savy," but that is not enough. Students need full internet access and a platform that allows them to experience more than just a 5.5 inch display.
At the moment, my students are only able to have access to this type of technology one class per week. I will be able to give my students access to programs that will increase their skills in basic math operations. My students will be able to work on school mandated technology on a daily basis. Most important, Chromebooks will allow me to target each students individual needs to increase their chances of becoming successful math students.
