I teach a high school work-based vocational program that is made up of high school students (ages 18-21) who are diagnosed with autism. Being in a vocational program affords my students the opportunity to build on the necessary skills to become more independent throughout their adult lives. Throughout the school year, I encouraged my students to reflect upon their own learning as it is a vital part of growing as a student, and as a person. My class is loaded with budding artists, who love to draw, musicians who love music, and many others with incredible skills. We are deeply appreciative of the support that we get.
