Many of our students never “make it off the block” to see beyond the hand they were dealt, so giving them resources that can be their magic carpet to worlds and civilizations beyond is imperative to their growth and potential. My old classroom library was destroyed by Hurricane Harvey when it hit in August of 2018 and I am looking to rebuild it for my students. This project will allow my students to travel to places beyond their wildest dreams while building their reading stamina and creative a comfortable environment. I am asking for a class set of the novel "Forged by Fire" and "Tears of a Tiger" along with a lamp and a small area rug. These items will allow me to build my students reading stamina. My students will be able to gain higher scores on the state test as well as on assessments in the classroom.
