Concrete floors are so uncomfortable. They spend so much time sitting on the floor for a multitude of reasons. Many times they choose to move to be closer to the lesson to focus or get a better view. They often complain that they're not comfortable. When this starts, learning stops. Their minds are not on the lesson. All of the students' minds only think about getting more comfortable. They start to move and squirm and before I know it they are off task. In giving them this alternative floor seating, I know my students will be better engaged.
