Due to the pandemic, our Maker Space has been utilized as a storage space for all the things that had to be removed from the classrooms to ensure physical distancing between students. As we revitalize and reorganize our school's Maker Space room, our LEGO League team has the opportunity to carve out space for our work tables and supplies. We will be able to accommodate more students on our team with this new space! We will need an additional EV3 robot brick and parts to replenish our LEGO kits. Having another robot kit will allow additional students to learn to build and code robots in small groups of 2 to 3 students. Having supplies for additional students means that students with learning differences will get more chances to take charge of a robot themselves. Small groups will get to participate in robotic challenges in preparation for our area's FIRST LEGO Challenge competitions. As we approach a new school year, I want to ensure that our students have opportunities to participate in fun STEAM extracurricular activities again!
