The premise of a Dual Program is that the students will receive the same amount of instruction in both languages, English and Spanish in all content areas. In order to do it we need to provide the materials and resources in both languages. It has been hard to find appropriate level books in Spanish, and they are very expensive. With this project my students will have the opportunity to read fun and engaging books in Spanish. When they notice we take the commitment to provide those resources seriously, they will also take their responsibilities as readers in charge of their own growth.
