My 4th graders, like most children their age, are largely visual learners. Throughout my eleven years teaching, I have tried hard to create clear, visually stimulating anchor charts to help support my students' learning. Frequently, we make the charts and posters collaboratively as a class. I often display these charts for weeks or more as reminders of the most important content and skills for the children to remember. If you watch my students carefully, you will see them refer to our charts many times a day. Their educational value is absolutely amazing! However, our school is unable to provide a suitable easel or chart paper to enable us to make the most of these great learning tools. Therefore, I am hoping to get this easel and two different types of chart paper for my classroom. These supplies (especially the easel itself) will help support my 4th graders not just this school year, but for many years to come!
