As an ESE teacher who works with students who have emotional behavior disorders, having a structured classroom is a must. A timer is needed to define rotations and stress balls to help with anxiety. My strawberry theme not only aligns with our school's motto of "growing", but we will incorporate science lessons and grow strawberry plants. We will also read several books about strawberries and work on reading comprehension strategies. My students work for a certain amount of time and then are allowed choice time when they earn it. The supplies requested are for students to take a brain break, relax with a plush animal, and/or color so they can regroup and continue working.
