In my World History students interview local veterans, some even from their own families, and create amazing high quality documentary for their veteran and the veteran's family. To date my students have recorded over 100 veterans. Every story matters no matter what role the veteran played in a conflict. Often these documentaries become keepsakes for many of our veteran families; as in many cases veterans haven't shared their experiences with their family. By donating to this project you are helping to enhance and improve an amazing collaboration for both my students and our local veterans as thhs digital camera and the accessories will help my students create significantly better veteran documentaries. This project helps students gain first hand accounts of conflict including WW II, the Korean War, Vietnam War, the Cold War in general, modern conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan.
