The thought of sitting in front of a computer watching Social Studies videos EVERY day is enough to put anyone in a deep sleep. Therefore, virtual learning needs to be engaging, exciting and innovative. Using a Surface Pro 7, I can virtually interact with students in real time almost as if they were actually sitting in my classroom. This powerhouse will allow me to switch between live video conferencing and prepared presentations at will. I can actually annotate, emphasize and highlight my presentations as the students are viewing them at home. This will giving me the flexibility to answer questions, check for understanding and refocus students exactly like they were sitting in my classroom. Imagine being a student in a awesome interactive classroom instead of the alternative...logging in, listen to your teacher talk while watching a video or slide show, answering a few questions and submitting them for your teacher to read and respond to at a later time. Who wants to wake up every day to that kind of learning? I don't. My students deserve the best.
