"Learning" isn't JUST about Reading or Math. It's about so much more... I can honestly say there is no better job than the one I have. Teaching in a low-income district and an under-budgeted state definitely has it's downfalls, but my kiddos make every minute worth it. We have fun in my classroom. We learn that while life may not always be fair, and to them that mostly means taking tests, we do what needs to be done and make the best of it! We learn all sorts of different subjects. Reading, writing, and arithmetic are no longer our only focus. Googling about random facts is an almost daily occurrence. The sky is the limit and 2nd graders definitely have a BIG imagination. We learn to be kind. We learn to be accepting. We learn how to be GREAT!
