My students are from a lower income school in Virginia; many come from families who do not have additional funds for books, as a result, our school system does not have additional funds to add to our bookroom. I would love to share a more modern, relatable story with them. If you haven't read "The Things They Carried" by Tim O'Brien, read it and share it. This is a powerful story, a story that will really inspire and empower my high school sophomores. Thanks for considering the donation (no matter how small).
