Think of a "typical" classroom and one can get an idea of what school may look like. Now take the idea and put it aside. My class is made up of students with special needs. These needs vary in degree. Behaviorally they are unable to maintain appropriate behavior in a regular school setting. They may be violent when frustrated or emotionally upset for unknown reasons. Some may live in group homes or foster care. Educational instruction is given as well as social skills and daily living skills such as personal hygiene.
