My students are amazing! They live in a very low socioeconomic area and lack so many life experiences. I try the best I can to give them a culturally responsive art education, but every year it becomes more of a challenge do to budget slashing. The state budget cuts have really impacted the arts programs, especially in low income neighborhoods. Such an injustice to children!
