I've worked in the school system for over 32 years. My specialty is working with special needs children in a general education classroom. I would like to acquire materials for my students to have at home, as we learn about financial literacy skills, wants and needs, and how to spend money. The number one problem in today's generation and economy, is the lack on financial literacy. -Alan Greenspan Money is not the only aspect of learning financial literacy. I would use the tens frames boards, dry erase makers, pattern blocks, dice and number bond boards to teach about choices. I can pose questions to my students such as, "What do we do when we have five cookies and six kids?" Materials will also be used to teach about needs versus wants and saving money. Thank you for viewing my project.
