The materials and supplies I am requesting for my students will help further support the social and emotional strategies I strive to provide my students each day as a school counselor. In order for children to grow and become successful academically, they must feel safe, welcome, and accepted at school. The best way to do this is provide opportunities for them to learn critical life skills such as recognizing and understanding their emotions. The donations to this project will help improve my student's ability to self-regulate and apply calm down strategies when strong emotions are present. My school wide initiative of teaching mindfulness and yoga in every classroom will be supported with these materials and help improve the lives of 310 students!
