In kindergarten, the majority of whole group instruction is conducted on the rug, where books, poems, charts, pictures and words are presented. The visuals help reach various learning styles and help deepen understanding. Students enjoy coming up to the easel to help participate in activities and discussions! In our classroom, we learn poems, find words in text, draw pictures, create diagrams to better understand our stories, practice our letters and numbers, manipulate magnets and read big books. Having a large dry erase, magnetic easel with a chart stand and big book holder will allow us to dive right into learning all from one location!

About my class
