Using Lego sets and mini-figures will help my students develop a deeper understanding of what they're learning through building, reflection, and dialogue. Students will learn vocabulary, positional and action words by using the Legos and mini-figures on the base plates to create communities and sets for stories. This hands-on learning will motivate, engage and enhance my students' English language acquisition. The role play mini-figures will be used to practice their speaking skills by creating stories to tell aloud. For example, students will use the firefighter Lego mini-figure to describe what a firefighter is, what it looks like and what it does. In addition, students can use the firefighter mini-figure to work on positional and action words. Students can also use the Seesaw app to practice their speaking and writing skills to create a story using the mini-figure.
