My scholars are part of a national charter organization serving traditionally under-served students in low-income neighborhoods. They are enthusiastic about learning and growing their brains, but are often years behind on their student learning targets. Many enter our school struggling with basic reading, writing, and math skills. They are the sweetest and most wonderful children that are stuck in unfortunate circumstances. Several were born to parents who cannot read or help them with their homework. It is my job to lift them up, to help them accomplish their dreams and become the leaders they are destined to be.

About my class
