This carpet will be used multiple times each day in my classroom. It will provide each student with a circle or "spot" of their very own. This will help each student keep their own space and better focus on their learning. In first grade we learn and work on the floor a lot! Students will sit on the carpet for the teaching of my mini lesson, independent reading, buddy reading and collaborative group work during math and other subject areas. This carpet will provide a warmer, more comfortable spot on our tile floor.
