All of our students will need to be able to enter the workforce at some point in their lifetime. Traditionally, we wait until high school to teach the skills necessary for our students in special education. What if we taught them these functional skills at an early age? What doors would this open for their future employment? In this project students would work on sorting, labeling, ordering, and identifying the necessary amount in real-world based activities. Within the resource room, this designated area would be used in the student's daily schedule to work on specific functional skills the student has not yet mastered.
