Our school is located in a small farming community with a large gang-violence problem. Our school is one of the largest for our district. Most of my students come from a low-socioeconomic status. Several students are apart of a migrant program. About two-thirds of them are English language learners. Some are involved in after-school sports programs, such as soccer and cheer leading. Some students have access to tablets, computers, or smart phones at home, but some get to use computers only at school. Most of my students love playing video games. They all seem eager to learn and happy to come to school. They especially love working with technology.
