Flexible seating will give my students control over their environment by allowing them to choose where they work and with whom. Flexible seating options will encourage them to share and it will give them the freedom to move around the classroom and pair up, work in small groups or whole group more easily. During guided reading/centers, students that are not in my guided reading group will be working independently. They will have the opportunity to chose their seating, move around the classroom using the flexible seating of their choice. Their choice will give them a voice and accountability in their learning.
