My students are located at our systems alternative school. They have been removed from the regular classroom setting because of behavioral issues. Along with this, most come from broken homes and extreme poverty. With all of these factors it is very hard for them to succeed. I teach the special needs students here. As a result, you can see how big of a fight my students have in order to graduate. With these factors added in and our system being poor and rural, it is very hard to provide these students with the materials they need to compete with their peers.
