We have chosen many different materials that will allow our students to use inquiry thinking to figure out how to build and create things. We are asking for materials such as wooden craft sticks, toothpicks, notched building sticks, etc. These materials will enhance the education of our students. The science text book we are using is not meeting the needs of our students. It does not provide engaging activities that allow for cooperative learning. As students learn to work together and think on their own, they are learning valuable skills that will better enhance their lives. The best learning happens when students are active and engaged in the learning process. When students can create and explore ideas on their own, they can create their own ideas about how the world works specifically with cross-curricular activities in S.T.E.M. S.T.E.M. provides relevant learning opportunities for students.
