My students are family! I call them my "kids". We laugh, cry, struggle, and win together. We start every day with a smile and a hug. Once they enter the room, students are off and learning. They don't have a moment to waste. They are behind the other classes, and have many gaps to fill in. I love each and every one of them. I am their champion, and they are mine. As we know, kids will say what ever comes to their minds. I have witnessed some extraordinary acts of kindness from them towards their fellow classmates. We really are a "family". I let them know we all have a job to do, and as long as they do theirs, I'm going to keep doing mine. I don't want to look into their faces and know I am not giving them all they deserve. They struggle with disabilities and financial strains, but we won't let that stop us! We are going to show everyone we are able to overcome and prosper! My kids are my heart!
