The six electronic keyboards will be used with grade levels kindergarten through 5th grade to reinforce the skills and concepts they learn in class. Using the piano keyboards correlates well with what the students have, and will learn, using the existing class xylophones. The keyboards will also provide a link between class and home for those students who have access to keyboard apps or pianos at home. The keyboards can be shared by two students at a time, promoting collaboration. They can also be used with existing computer composition programs and apps for students to explore new avenues of creativity.
